[VIDEO GAME] FIFA 10 PS3 Review

My XBOX 360 has broke down 3 times and now out of warranty, it is as useful as a brick.  When my XBOX 360 did work, the game that was in the CD tray 80% of the time was FIFA 09--a great game.  Luckily my cousin has a PS3 (which has never broken) and I got a chance to test out the next game in the series: FIFA 10.

FIFA 10 for PS3 is no doubt a solid game.  Would I be able to tell the difference between FIFA 09 and FIFA 10?  Barely.  I didn't notice any life-changing features, but the FIFA series has stepped it up and has surpassed its competition Pro Evolution Soccer.  The graphics are superb and the gameplay is solid.  Compared to PES, all of the teams and players in FIFA have their correct names, which sounds frivolous but is quite reassuring when you are looking for "Mesut Ozil" and not "ROBSED OLJSEFC."  The only annoying thing I found was a slight delay in scrolling or going through menus.  Again, this is not that big of a deal, but starts to get irritating when you have to scroll through hundreds of pages of players to find the one you want to buy.

FIFA 10 for the next generation consoles is a pretty amazing soccer game.  Don't buy it for PC though.  There you're better off with PES 2010, which is still pretty bad if you ask me.

9/10
